Warranty Policy

1. Scope and Warranty Designation

This SCOOTNGO Limited Warranty applies to new SCOOTNGO mobility scooters purchased for personal, family, or household use in the United States directly from SCOOTNGO or from an authorized SCOOTNGO retailer.

This is a limited written warranty. It is not a satisfaction guarantee, return policy, insurance policy, or maintenance plan. Customer-choice returns are governed by the applicable United States Refund & Return Policy.

2. Who Is Covered

This voluntary Limited Warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser while that purchaser owns the scooter. It is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required. Product registration is recommended but is not a substitute for proof of purchase and is not a condition of coverage where prohibited by law.

Products purchased for resale, rental, fleet, delivery, institutional, or other commercial use are not covered unless a separate written commercial warranty expressly applies.

3. When Coverage Begins

Coverage begins on the original delivery date shown in the carrier’s tracking record. For local pickup, coverage begins on the pickup date shown on the sales receipt. A replacement scooter or component does not restart the original scooter warranty except as stated in Section 12.

“Eligible electronic components” means the original motor, controller, display or control panel, original charger, factory-installed lights, switches, wiring harnesses, and factory-installed electronic braking components. It does not include consumable friction parts, tires, tubes, cosmetic trim, upholstery, baskets, detachable bags, or third-party accessories.

5. What This Limited Warranty Covers

During the applicable period, this Limited Warranty covers a verified defect in materials or workmanship that arises during normal, intended personal use and prevents the covered component from functioning substantially as designed.

The customer must use, charge, store, assemble, and maintain the scooter in accordance with the owner’s manual and safety instructions. Coverage is determined after reasonable troubleshooting and review of the available evidence.

6. Battery Coverage

Battery coverage applies only to a verified defect in materials or workmanship. Gradual capacity reduction caused by normal use, age, temperature, storage, or charging history is not a manufacturing defect.

· Using an incompatible charger, charging source, battery, or adapter.

· Deep discharge, long-term storage without required charging, overheating, freezing, water exposure, physical impact, puncture, or corrosion.

· Normal reduction in range caused by rider weight, terrain, temperature, tire pressure, speed, stops, or battery aging.

· Damage caused by opening, modifying, bypassing, or attempting to repair the battery or battery-management system.

Battery safety: Do not ship a damaged, swollen, leaking, overheated, punctured, or otherwise unsafe lithium battery. Stop using it, move away from combustible materials when safe to do so, and contact SCOOTNGO for written instructions.

7. What Is Not Covered

· Normal wear, maintenance, adjustment, cleaning, lubrication, or replacement of consumable items, including tires, tubes, brake friction parts, bearings subject to normal wear, upholstery, grips, paint, decals, and cosmetic trim.

· Cosmetic marks, color variation, minor noise, or appearance changes that do not affect safe operation or material function.

· Collision, crash, drop, tipping, impact, abuse, neglect, vandalism, fire, flood, water intrusion, salt, corrosion, pets, pests, or other external causes.

· Exceeding the stated weight limit, riding on unsuitable terrain, using the scooter contrary to warnings, or using it for towing, racing, stunts, delivery, rental, fleet, or commercial service.

· Improper assembly, storage, charging, maintenance, or transport, including airline, cruise, rideshare, freight, or third-party handling after delivery.

· Damage caused by an incompatible part, unauthorized modification, improper repair, altered programming, or removal or bypass of a safety feature.

· A product with a removed, altered, or unreadable serial number or where the claimant cannot reasonably establish proof of purchase and product identity.

· Loss of use, inconvenience, travel costs, rental costs, missed trips, lost income, or other incidental or consequential loss, to the extent permitted by law.

· Free promotional gifts and third-party products, except to the extent a separate written warranty or non-waivable law applies.

8. How to Submit a Claim

1. Stop using the scooter if continued operation may be unsafe or may cause additional damage.

2. Contact cs@scootngo.com with the subject “Warranty Claim – [Order Number]” or call (626) 998-3299 during posted service hours.

3. Provide the order number, delivery date, model, serial or frame number, a detailed description of the issue, and clear photos or video requested by SCOOTNGO.

4. Complete reasonable remote troubleshooting. SCOOTNGO may request battery readings, charger indicators, error codes, odometer information, connection checks, or other safe diagnostic steps.

5. Obtain written approval before purchasing parts, hiring a repair shop, disassembling a covered component, or shipping any scooter, battery, or component.

6. If a return is required, follow the written RMA, packaging, carrier, and dangerous-goods instructions supplied by SCOOTNGO.

Failure to provide requested evidence does not automatically void coverage, but SCOOTNGO may delay or deny a claim when the available information is insufficient to verify identity, eligibility, cause, or remedy.

9. Available Remedies

Subject to applicable law, SCOOTNGO will select a commercially reasonable remedy. Remedies may include:

· Remote troubleshooting or adjustment instructions.

· Providing a new, refurbished, or functionally equivalent replacement part.

· Reimbursing a reasonable repair cost that was approved in writing before work began.

· Requiring return of the product or component for inspection or depot repair.

· Replacing the scooter with the same model or a functionally equivalent model; color, finish, packaging, or minor features may differ.

· Providing another remedy required by applicable law when repair or replacement is not reasonably available.

SCOOTNGO may require the replaced product or component to be returned. Once a refund, settlement, or full product replacement is provided, the replaced product and any related rights under this Limited Warranty may terminate.

10. Parts, Labour, and Shipping

· Approved warranty parts and standard outbound shipping are provided without charge during the applicable coverage period.

· Labour, diagnostic fees, travel, pickup, home service, expedited shipping, and local repair costs are not covered unless SCOOTNGO approves them in writing before the cost is incurred.

· If SCOOTNGO requires a scooter or component to be returned for a verified warranty claim, SCOOTNGO will provide or reimburse the approved standard return method.

· If inspection shows no covered defect, or shows excluded damage, the customer may be responsible for diagnostic, packaging, return, or redelivery costs disclosed before shipment, where permitted by law.

· SCOOTNGO is not responsible for unauthorized repairs, parts, labour, or shipping.

11. Repair and Replacement Parts

SCOOTNGO may use new, refurbished, remanufactured, or functionally equivalent parts or products. A replacement part is covered for the longer of 90 days from delivery of the replacement or the remaining period of the original applicable warranty. A replacement scooter is covered for the remaining period of the original scooter warranty unless SCOOTNGO states otherwise in writing or applicable law requires more.

12. Retailers, Marketplaces, Used, and Open-Box Products

For an authorized retailer or marketplace purchase, the customer should retain the retailer receipt and follow the seller or platform procedure when required. Platform remedies may be separate from this Limited Warranty.

Unless expressly stated at the time of sale, this voluntary Limited Warranty does not apply to private resale, secondhand, salvage, auction, or unauthorized-reseller products. Open-box, demonstration, or refurbished products sold directly by SCOOTNGO are covered only for the period and components stated on the applicable product page or sales confirmation.

13. Limitation of Implied Warranties and Damages

To the extent permitted by law, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the applicable period of this Limited Warranty. SCOOTNGO is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use, travel costs, lost income, or replacement transportation, to the extent permitted by law.

Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties or exclusions of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

14. State Law Rights

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Nothing in this Limited Warranty limits any right or remedy that cannot be waived under applicable law.
